Paul offers a range of detoxifying and pampering massage therapies - Deep tissue, Abdominal and Holistic massage.

Massage therapy is a great support and compliment to a detox. It helps to calm the nervous system, and aids the detoxification process by stimulating the flow of blood through the tissues and increasing drainage of lymph, which in turn helps to flush toxins from the body.

The integrated style of holistic massage, as well as deep tissue massage, can be helpful for those who have specific issues they would like addressed, such as sports injuries, ‘bad backs', stiff neck and shoulders.

Paul  can also offer abdominal massage, either on its own or as a part of a more general treatment. This is useful during a detox as it helps mobilise and ease the elimination of waste through the colon. It can also be beneficial for a broad variety of digestive issues.

Qualifications:

BSc(Hons) Environmental Science, Diploma Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Clin Ac (China), ITEC Holistic Massage, Devon School of Yoga yoga teacher.

Biography:

Since a ‘chance' encounter with yoga at the age 14, Paul found himself becoming increasingly interested and involved in complimentary approaches to health and healing. His initial training was a four year diploma in Chinese medicine,  followed by training in a variety of massage techniques, including holistic, deep tissue, myofascial release and abdominal.

Paul has a particular interest in digestive health, massage techniques for the abdomen, and the preparation and use of fermented foods. He has also studied Natural Nutrition with Barbara Wren.

Over the years Paul has participated in residential fasts in the UK, France and India. This has given him an appreciation of the detox experience, and on overcoming the challenges of fasting to gain the benefits!

Paul and his wife have lived in Devon for 15 years. He is a professional wood turner and a Member of The Devon Guild of Craftsmen, and displays his work from their gallery in Bovey Tracey .

In his spare time you may find him mountain biking on Dartmoor on his beloved rigid singlespeed 29er (don't ask!).
